Blackberry was once one of the most popular smartphone brands available. Recently, the phone has been losing some of its market share, and has been mainly used for business purposes. But now many companies and government agencies that issue phones to their employees have decided to go with other smartphones. What do consumers think about Blackberry?
In Ask Your Target Market’s latest survey, just 6% of respondents said they currently own a Blackberry. Another 14% said that they have owned a Blackberry in the past. And 80% have never owned one. Males and respondents under 35 were slightly more likely to have owned Blackberries. Respondents who make over $75,000 per year were 15% more likely to have owned a Blackberry in the past, but just 2% more likely to own one now.
Pros and Cons
55% of current and former Blackberry users said that they liked the phones ease of use. 39% said they like the business features and email compatibility. 36% like the variety of apps and features. 34% said they like the speed of the phone. Respondents with a salary of over $75,000 were 7% more likely to be provided with phones, but actually less likely to be provided with Blackberries.
