Apple Opinions

In Ask Your Target Market’s latest survey, 81% of respondents said they have a generally positive opinion of apples themselves. Since there are many different types of apples to choose from, people’s opinions about the best ones tended to vary. But red delicious was chosen as the most popular type of apple, with 41% selecting it as a favorite. Granny Smith, gala and golden delicious were also popular choices.

Apple Flavors

Aside from apples themselves, there are plenty of popular food and beverage choices that come in apple flavors, particularly in the fall. Respondents’ favorite apple flavored treat is apple pie, with 72% selecting it as a favorite. 60% enjoy apple juice. 59% enjoy applesauce. 52% like apple pastries. And 44% named apple cider as a favorite.

Top Destinations

More specifically, some of the top brands for apple flavored treats include Mott’s, Mrs. Smith’s, Dole, Kraft and Sara Lee. But others prefer to just head to their local bakeries or apple orchards for apple foods. 23% of respondents said that they are likely to go to an apple orchard sometime this fall.
