Today is Black Friday, long considered one of the busiest shopping days of the year. While the tradition has changed a bit in recent years, due in part to online shopping and the introduction of even earlier shopping hours on Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday remains a popular shopping holiday for deal seekers. So how many plan to venture out this year? And what are the most popular stores for deals?

Black Friday

In Ask Your Target Market’s latest survey, 30% of respondents said they are at least somewhat likely to shop on Black Friday this year. 57% said they would be unlikely to do so. And 12% were still neutral or undecided. The most popular stores and/or websites for Black Friday shoppers this year include Walmart, Target, Amazon, Best Buy, Kohl’s, Macy’s and Sears.

Online Shoppers

78% of those who plan to shop on Black Friday this year said they are likely to do at least some of their shopping online. And 68% said they are likely to shop in stores. Last year, just 21% of overall respondents said they planned to shop exclusively online during Black Friday, according to a November 2014 survey. Although some could have shopped both in stores and online, that’s still a potentially large increase in online shoppers. https://aytm.com/blog/daily-survey-results/black-friday-shopping-survey/
