Elvis Survey: Several Different Songs Named Top Hits

Today is Elvis’s birthday. And although the King is no longer making music and other forms of entertainment, people continue to enjoy a lot of the songs and movies he made while he was here. So in honor of the King’s birthday, we asked people about their favorite Elvis songs and movies. Which big name hits made the list?


Elvis Fans

In Ask Your Target Market’s latest survey, 62% of respondents said that they have a generally positive opinion of Elvis’s music. 27% even said that they currently own multiple different Elvis albums, CD’s or digital music files. And 18% own at least one. Looking forward, 33% of respondents said they would be likely to buy Elvis albums in various forms at some point in the future.

Favorite Songs

Through his career, Elvis had so many popular hit songs that there isn’t just one stand out favorite for most people. Respondents mentioned Love me Tender, Jailhouse Rock, Hound Dog, Heartbreak Hotel, Blue Suede Shoes and In the Ghetto as some of their favorite songs from the King.

Movie Fans

But Elvis didn’t just create music during his career. 33% of respondents said that they enjoy many of Elvis’s movies. And another 14% enjoy at least one of them. Blue Hawaii was named as the most popular Elvis movie by respondents. Some other favorites include Jailhouse Rock, Love Me Tender and Viva Las Vegas.
