iTunes Radio Survey: Most Have Already Used Other Streaming Services

Apple recently unveiled its long awaited online music streaming service, iTunes Radio. iTunes has long been one of the most popular sources for music, so the brand name could possibly draw in a number of users even though there is already a seemingly oversaturated music streaming market. How many already use other streaming services? And how many can see themselves using iTunes Radio regularly?

iTunes Radio

In Ask Your Target Market’s latest survey, 18% of respondents said they’ve already tried using iTunes Radio. 67% said they have not used it. And 15% weren’t aware of its existence yet. Streaming Competitors

One of the main roadblocks to the success of iTunes Radio is the amount of other streaming services available and the number of consumers who already use them. 16% of respondents said they use other music streaming services often. 34% said they sometimes use other music streaming services. 17% said they rarely use them. And 33% never do.

The most popular streaming service was Pandora, with 66% of respondents saying they’ve used it. 25% use iHeartRadio. 18% use Spotify. And 22% use other music streaming services such as Rhapsody and Grooveshark.
