iOS 7 Survey: iPhone Owners More Satisfied Than Other Smartphone Owners

Apple just unveiled some new features in its latest operating system, iOS 7. Those using iPhones and other Apple mobile devices can have access to a whole new design, photo options, and a new music streaming service. It’s already one of the most popular mobile options, but could these new features lead to any new customers for Apple?

Smartphone Users

In Ask Your Target Market’s latest survey, 48% of respondents said they currently own a smartphone. 5% said that they definitely plan to buy a smartphone within the next year. 8% said they might buy one soon. And 39% said they don’t have any plans to purchase a smartphone.Of those who currently own a smartphone, 39% have an iPhone. 51% have an Android device. 4% own a Blackberry. And 4% have a Windows Phone.

User Satisfaction

Overall, 55% of smartphone owners said they are very satisfied with their current device. 38% said they are somewhat satisfied. 6% said they are somewhat unsatisfied. And 2% said they are very unsatisfied. More specifically, 72% of iPhone owners said they are very satisfied with their device. 23% said they are somewhat satisfied. 3% said they are somewhat unsatisfied. And another 3% said they are very unsatisfied.

Mobile Features

Ease of use and overall design aesthetic were named as the two most important features for those considering a new smartphone. Apps that come with the phone and having a quality camera were next. And music streaming, variety of third-party apps, and having the latest model or technology were named as not very important features.
