In recent weeks, you may have heard about a new social app called Peach. The new app has gone viral and gained a lot of users in a fairly short amount of time. But it’s not the first app or social site to go viral. And not all of those apps have necessarily lasted very long. So how many are have already signed up for Peach? And how many are likely to sign up for it or similar social apps or sites in the coming year?
In Ask Your Target Market’s latest survey, just 4% of respondents said that they’ve already signed up for an account with Peach. Another 8% said that though they haven’t signed up for an account, they have at least heard of Peach. And the remaining 89% of respondents said they’ve never heard of the new social app.
Currently, 39% of respondents said that they use multiple different social sites or apps. 32% just use one social platform. And 30% don’t use any. Generally, 72% of the respondents who use them said that they enjoy using social sites or apps. And 47% said they even enjoy trying out new social sites or apps.
More specifically though, just 26% of respondents said that they are likely to sign up for at least one new social site or app, like Peach, within the next year. 52% said they would be unlikely to sign up for any social platforms in the coming year. And 23% were neutral or undecided at this point.
