Voice Assistant Survey: Google Now Has Highest Customer Satisfaction

Voice assistants like Apple’s Siri and Microsoft’s Cortana are becoming increasingly popular. Whether incorporated into mobile devices, vehicles or other products, these voice-activated features have plenty of different applications. And they’re becoming increasingly important in the tech buying process. So what do people think about the current virtual voice assistants available?

Voice Assistants

In Ask Your Target Market’s latest survey, 37% of respondents said they’ve used voice assistants at some point. Siri was the most popular among those respondents; 62% said they’ve used Apple’s Siri feature. 40% have used Google Now, a popular Android assistant. And 24% have used Microsoft’s Cortana assistant.

But when it comes to regular usage, all of those numbers drop a bit. 40% said they use the Siri feature most often. 25% mainly use Google Now. 12% use Cortana more than the others. And 23% said they don’t use any virtual voice assistants regularly.

User Satisfaction

Overall, 73% of those who regularly use voice assistants said that they are at least somewhat satisfied with their functionality. Siri users were 2% less likely to be satisfied with their primary voice feature than the overall panel. Google Now users were 5% more likely to be satisfied with their voice feature. And Cortana users 3% more likely to be satisfied than the panel as a whole.

Potential Users

Of those who haven’t ever used virtual voice assistants, just 31% have the opportunity to do so currently. 69% said they do not currently own a mobile device, vehicle or other product that offers a voice assistant feature. And of those respondents, just 11% said that they are likely to purchase such a device within the next year.
