Voice Recognition Technology Survey: Many Expect More in the Future

Voice Recognition Technology has been seeping into more and more devices, from phones to cars, in the past few years. Are users satisfied with the technology so far? Do people expect to see voice recognition technology integrated into more devices in the future, and more importantly, do they want to?

In Ask Your Target Market’s latest survey, 63% of respondents said they have never used voice recognition technology. 11% said they have used it once. 22% said they use it sometimes. And just 5% of respondents said they use voice recognition technology often.

Satisfaction

Of those respondents who have used voice recognition technology, 48% said they were satisfied with it. Another 10% said they were very satisfied. 15% described their opinion as neutral or said they had no opinion. 24% said they didn’t think the technology worked very well. And just 3% said it didn’t work well at all.

Future Expectations

Whether or not current users are satisfied, many agree that voice recognition technology will be showing up more and more in the future. 38% of respondents said they expect to see voice recognition integrated much more into devices within the next five years. Another 38% said they expect to see it integrated a little more. 9% said they don’t expect to see more of it. And 16% were undecided.

But wanting to see more of it might be a different story entirely. Just 17% of respondents said they want to see voice recognition integrated into many more devices in the next five years. 28% said they would like to see it integrated a bit more. 20% said they don’t want to see it integrated any more. And 36% are undecided.
