Video clips are a simple way to upload the video commercials you need to test, provide survey context by uploading a presentation with voice over, or record a quick introduction as well as instructions for the survey using your own webcam. Please note: you must be registered and logged in to upload a video clip.
Please keep your video clips under 450 seconds (7 minutes and 30 seconds). You can upload different video file formats, but mp4 is the preferred format to use. If you have difficulties with other formats, please convert your file to mp4 then upload it.
Please keep the page open while your video file is uploading. When the upload is complete, please wait for a confirmation to be displayed on the page. We automatically convert your video on the back end; you can safely save and close the editor page at this time. You should see your video appear in the survey editor within a few minutes to review via playback.
All video clips uploaded to your account will be stored and available to you in a drop down list so that you don't have to upload them again. This is helpful for use in follow-up studies; however, images are not saved on the server, and need to be uploaded each time you want to use them.
Video questions can have a skip logic destination. Use the rabbit icon to program this logic.
A caption for the clip must be added in the question field to launch a survey. If you prefer not to add a caption, simply type a placeholder phrase such as "Please watch the following video".
Special settings for this question include:
- Allow replaying any time within the survey. By default, respondents can watch the video only one time, and they lose access to it upon advancing to the next question. By using this option, you enable respondents to watch the video again by giving them a shortcut to replay the clip; they may use it at any time during their survey session after the video was presented to them.
