Amazon Prime Air Survey: Most Already Satisfied With Delivery Speed

Amazon recently unveiled plans to eventually offer rush delivery of packages for up to a half hour after orders are placed. The system would use unmanned drone-type vessels to deliver packages, and is still several years away. But it certainly has people talking about the possibilities. How many would actually like to take advantage of Amazon Prime Air?

In Ask Your Target Market’s latest survey, 41% of respondents said that they already order products from Amazon.com often. 37% said they sometimes order things from Amazon. 11% said they rarely make purchases from Amazon. And just 11% said they never do.

So in general, Amazon is a very popular online retailer. It already offers some options for rush delivery, including Amazon Prime, which gives members free two-day delivery. 26% of those who have ordered from Amazon said they have an Amazon Prime account. Another 23% said they’ve had one in the past. And 51% have never used Amazon Prime.

In general, 60% of Amazon customers said they are already very satisfied with the speed of deliveries. 36% said they are somewhat satisfied. 4% are somewhat unsatisfied. And less than 1% are very unsatisfied. Amazon Prime customers were 17% more likely to be very satisfied with delivery speed.

But as far as the potential of a speedier delivery option is concerned, 36% of overall respondents said they would definitely take advantage of a 30-minute delivery option. 41% said they would probably take advantage of such an option. 18% said they probably wouldn’t. And 6% said they definitely wouldn’t.
