Today is Personal Trainer Awareness day. And since it’s also the start of a new year, many people might be interested in utilizing personal trainer services as part of their new year’s resolutions. Having a personal trainer can help people learn about different techniques and also keep them accountable for their exercise routines. So how many people have ever used a personal trainer? And how many would like to?
Personal Trainers
In Ask Your Target Market’s latest survey, 75% of respondents said they’ve never used a personal trainer. 12% said they’ve used one once or twice. 8% have used personal training services many times in the past. And 5% said they currently use personal training services.Of those who have had personal trainers, 51% were satisfied with their experience. 30% were unsatisfied. And 18% were neutral.
General Exercise
Personal trainers may have their benefits, but they are not absolutely necessary for some people to maintain proper health and fitness. Currently, 17% of respondents said they have a gym membership. And 49% said they exercise regularly. In general, 86% said they consider their health to be important.
Gauging Interest
But even though many people find other ways to exercise, having a personal trainer might still be beneficial. 48% of respondents think that having a personal trainer would be beneficial to their health. However, just 30% said they would be likely to use a personal trainer at some point in the future. So other factors like cost and time commitment might be keeping people from utilizing these services.
