Today, Americans are celebrating Iced Tea Day. And since summer is just around the corner, it’s also the time of year when plenty of people will choose iced tea as their cold beverage of choice for barbecues, picnics and plenty of other outdoor gatherings. So how does iced tea stack up against other beverages? And what are people’s favorite iced tea brands?
Iced Tea
In Ask Your Target Market’s latest survey, 74% of respondents said they have a positive opinion of iced tea in general. Just 12% said they don’t like iced tea. And 14% are neutral about it. In fact, 9% of respondents even said they enjoy iced tea multiple times per day. 14% drink iced tea about once a day. 18% drink it a few times per week. 8% do so about once per week. 19% drink it a few times per month. 20% said they rarely ever drink iced tea. And just 12% never do.
Favorite Brands
Of course, there are plenty of different brands offering different varieties of this cold drink. Respondents overwhelmingly named Lipton as their favorite iced tea brand. Other favorites include Arizona, Nestea, Snapple, Nestle, Turkey Leaf and Brisk.
Cold Beverages
But iced tea is just one of the many cold drinks that Americans like to enjoy throughout the summer months. So how does it stack up against other favorites? 26% of respondents named iced tea as their favorite cold drink, which was second only to water. 41% named water as their favorite cold drink. Next in line was soda, followed by juice. And few named iced coffee as their favorite cold drink.
