Today is National One-Hit Wonder Day, a holiday created to celebrate all those catchy tunes from artists that only really made it big once. Throughout decades, these one-hit wonders have grabbed our attention and gotten so big that the artists behind them were never able to duplicate that success again. To celebrate those artists and their top songs, we asked respondents about their favorite one-hit wonders through the years.
In Ask Your Target Market’s latest survey, 25% of respondents said they really enjoy a lot of one-hit wonder songs. And another 49% said they at least somewhat enjoy most one-hit wonders. There were plenty of different songs and artists mentioned by respondents. Some of the top one-hit wonders mentioned include Ice Ice Baby, Mickey, Whip It, Come On Eileen, and Love Shack.
