We’ve got some exciting news to share that’s all about building a future you can trust, especially when it comes to the evolving world of artificial intelligence. aytm is incredibly proud to announce we’ve been issued ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification (“ISO 42001”) for our Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS) as decided by Mastermind, an accredited management systems certification body.

This isn’t just another certificate for the wall; it’s a significant milestone that places aytm among an elite group of approximately 30 companies globally to achieve certification to this standard. For us, it’s a clear signal of our unwavering commitment to developing and implementing AI in a way that’s secure, privacy-conscious, and above all, responsible.

What is ISO 42001, and why should it matter to you?

You’ve probably heard about ISO certifications—they’re international benchmarks for quality and best practices. ISO 42001 specifically focuses on how organizations like ours manage AI. Think of it as a framework ensuring that as we build and use AI technologies (like our very own Skipper, your AI research companion), we’re doing so with the highest standards of governance, risk management, and ethical considerations in mind.

This matters because in a landscape buzzing with AI advancements, trust is paramount. You need to know that the tools you use are not only powerful but also built on a foundation of integrity. This certification demonstrates:

  • Our dedication to responsible innovation: We’re not just adopting AI; we’re thoughtfully integrating it, ensuring it serves to empower your curiosity safely and effectively.
  • Enhanced data security and privacy: This new certification seamlessly complements our existing certifications against both ISO 27001 (for Information Security) and ISO 27701 (for Privacy Information Management). Together, they create a comprehensive shield for your data and your respondents' information.
  • A proactive approach: We’re not waiting for regulations to catch up; we’re actively seeking out and adhering to the most rigorous global standards to protect your interests.

Our journey with AI: Evolution, not upheaval

At aytm, we see AI, and our AI research companion Skipper, as a collaborative partner. It’s here to enhance human expertise, not replace it. As we say, Skipper is designed to be more Sancho Panza than Don Quixote—a truly helpful assistant making your research journey smoother and more insightful. This ISO 42001 certification underpins that philosophy, ensuring that as Skipper learns and grows alongside you, it does so within a framework of responsible development.

"We're thrilled to achieve ISO 42001 certification," says Lev Mazin, CEO at aytm. "It’s a testament to our team's dedication to not only advancing insights technology but doing so with a profound sense of responsibility. For our clients, this means added assurance that their trust in aytm, and in our AI-powered tools like Skipper, is well-placed as we help them bridge the gap between curiosity and understanding."

Building on a foundation of trust

This new certification joins our existing ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 credentials, reinforcing our holistic approach to information security and privacy. It’s another step in our mission to help insight seekers like you bridge the chasm between service dependency and true insights ownership, empowering you to explore, evolve, and innovate with confidence.

We’re excited about what this means for the future and for our continued partnership with you. As always, we’re here to help you tell the story of your data, now with even greater, independently verified assurances of responsible AI practices.
