Summer fashion changes every year. But most years there is at least one constant – flip flops. In honor of National Flip Flop Day, we asked people what they think of the casual summer shoes. How many wear flip flops on a regular basis? And what are their favorite flip flop brands?
Flip Flop Opinions
In Ask Your Target Market’s latest survey, 44% of respondents said they like the look of flip flops. 52% find them to be comfortable. 30% find them to be durable. And 61% appreciate the low cost of flip flops. However, just 20% think they offer sufficient arch support.
Flip Flop Owners
21% of respondents said that they wear flip flops every day during the summer. Another 19% said they wear them a few times per week. 8% wear flip flops about once a week. 6% wear them a few times a month. 15% said they rarely ever wear flip flops. And 31% never wear them. Of those who wear flip flops at least sometimes, 7% don’t actually currently own any of their own. 32% have just one pair of flip flops. 21% own two pairs. 18% have three pairs. 10% have four. 5% have five. And 7% own six or more pair of flip flops.
Flip Flop Buyers
In general, 33% of respondents said they are likely to buy at least one new pair of flip flops this year. Walmart, Old Navy, Target, Payless and Amazon were named as people’s favorite stores to shop for flip flops.
