McDonald's Breakfast Survey: All-Day Breakfast Could Lead to More Customers

McDonald’s just announced that it will soon offer some of its most popular breakfast menu items all day, rather than just in the mornings. The announcement came as welcome news to many fans of the company’s breakfast offerings, such as the Egg McMuffin, Sausage McMuffin and hasbrowns. So how many people plan to take advantage of the new all-day McDonald’s breakfast? And what are their favorite menu items to enjoy?

In Ask Your Target Market’s latest survey, 4% of respondents said they eat McDonald’s breakfast multiple times per week. 6% said they usually eat it about once per week. 10% eat McDonald’s breakfast items a few times per month. 7% do so about once per month. 16% eat there a few times per year. 33% said they rarely ever eat McDonald’s breakfast. And 25% never do. The most popular McDonald’s breakfast items mentioned by respondents include the Egg McMuffin, Sausage McMuffin, McGriddle, hasbrowns, Sausage Biscuit, and pancakes.

New Offerings

Now that the company is offering some menu items throughout the rest of the day as well as in the morning, some customers might be more likely to frequent their local McDonalds. 38% of overall respondent said they would be likely to eat at McDonald’s more often now that it will offer some breakfast items all day long. 40% said they would be unlikely to do so. And 22% were neutral or undecided.

All-Day Breakfast

In general, it seems that most people enjoy eating breakfast items for other meals at least on occasion. 7% of respondents said they eat breakfast foods for other meals at least once a day. 27% do so at least once a week. 28% enjoy eating breakfast foods for other meals a few times per month. 31% rarely eat breakfast foods at other times. And just 8% never do.
