Netflix subscribers have increased by huge numbers in recent years. In fact, the company’s stock shares just hit the $500 mark. And analysts are predicting even more growth. Currently, Netflix is just one of the video streaming services available, but it seems to be the one that users watch and talk about the most. So how do Netflix subscribers stack up to subscribers of other streaming services in terms of satisfaction? And how many are likely to continue subscribing in the future?
In Ask Your Target Market’s latest survey, 13% of respondents said they currently subscribe to multiple video streaming services. 28% subscribe to just one. 13% said they have subscribed to streaming services in the past, but don’t anymore. And 46% have never subscribed to any streaming services like Netflix. Of those who currently subscribe to at least one video streaming service, 84% use Netflix. The competitor with the second most subscribers wasn’t even close; 32% said they currently subscribe to Amazon Prime’s streaming service. 23% subscribe to Hulu Plus. And just 2% subscribe to other streaming services like Xfinity and HBO Now.
Overall, 78% of streaming subscribers said they are satisfied with the price of their service. 75% are satisfied with the variety of content. 84% are satisfied with the ease of use. And 85% are satisfied with their overall streaming experience. Netflix subscribers were more likely to be satisfied with every aspect of their streaming service than the overall panel of subscribers.
Most of those who don’t currently subscribe to any video streaming services don’t seem too inclined to change that anytime soon. But those who are interested in potentially subscribing are most interested in Netflix. 18% said they would be likely to subscribe to Netflix within the next year. 15% said they are likely to subscribe to Amazon Prime this year. And 13% are likely to subscribe to Hulu Plus.
