Today is National Pretzel Day. And since pretzels are such a popular snack that can be enjoyed in so many different ways, it’s a day that’s likely to get some attention. So how many people consider themselves to be pretzel fans? And what are their favorite types and brands when it comes to the popular snack?
In Ask Your Target Market’s latest survey, 65% of respondents said that they have a generally positive opinion of pretzels. Just 9% don’t like them. And 26% are neutral or have no real opinion about them. 3% of respondents said that they usually eat pretzels every day. 7% eat them a few times per week. 10% eat them about once per week. 20% eat them at least once per month. 28% just eat them a few times per year. 26% said that they rarely ever eat pretzels. And 7% never eat them.
For those who enjoy them, there are plenty of different types of pretzels to choose from. The most popular type seems to be the classic twist. 47% said that they usually enjoy regular pretzel twists. 38% like eating soft pretzels. 30% like pretzel rods. 24% enjoy eating them covered or dipped in chocolate. 22% like them with cheese. And 8% named other favorite types, such as filled with peanut butter or covered in yogurt.
There are also plenty of different brands that make all those different types of pretzels.
