Cotton Candy Survey: People Likely to Enjoy Cotton Candy at Carnivals

Today is National Cotton Candy Day. Cotton candy is a sugary treat often associated with events like carnivals, circuses or sporting events. But there are also some brands that make cotton candy you can enjoy pretty much anywhere. So how many people enjoy eating cotton candy on a regular basis? And what are their favorite brands and flavors?

In Ask Your Target Market’s latest survey, 52% of respondents said that they have a positive opinion of cotton candy overall. Just 20% said they have a negative opinion of it. And 27% described their opinion as neutral.

Favorite Events

There are so many different places where people can enjoy cotton candy. The most popular, according to respondents, is the carnival. 56% said they like eating cotton candy at carnivals. 47% enjoy it at fairs. 28% like eating it at home. 22% eat it at the circus. 11% eat it at sporting events. 8% enjoy it at concerts. And 3% like eating cotton candy at other types of places or events, such as rodeos or boardwalks.

Favorite Types

There are also plenty of different flavors and types to choose from. The most popular cotton candy flavor among respondents is cherry – 53% selected it as a favorite. 36% chose blue raspberry. 24% like blueberry. 20% enjoy vanilla. 15% prefer grape. 13% like orange. Another 13% like lemon. And 5% chose other favorite flavors such as bubblegum or original. And while there aren’t too many famous cotton candy brands, a few that stood out among respondents include Charm and Fluffy Stuff.
