It’s no secret that Google is a huge and successful company. With the most popular search engine, a whole array of other web and mobile products and services, and even a new movie (The Internship) that completely revolves around it, you could say that Google is about as dominant as a company can be. What do consumers generally think about Google as a company? And how many use its products on a regular basis?

Google Opinions

In Ask Your Target Market’s latest survey, 43% of respondents said they have a very positive opinion of Google as a brand. 31% said they have a somewhat positive opinion of Google. 20% said they are neutral or have no opinion. 5% said they have a somewhat negative opinion of Google as a brand. And just 2% of consumers said they have a very negative opinion of Google.

Google Search

The search engine is still Google’s most popular function, even though it has grown by leaps and bounds since it first launched the service. Right now, 49% of consumers said they always use Google as their search engine of choice. Another 38% said they sometimes use Google’s search engine. 9% said they only ever use other search engines. And 4% said they don’t use search engines at all.

Google Services

But the search function doesn’t even really scratch the surface of what Google has to offer today. 72% of respondents said that they use Google’s video site, YouTube. 64% said they use Gmail. 52% use Google Maps. 47% use Google Chrome. 27% use Android mobile devices. 20% use Google Apps. 16% use Google Plus. 11% use Blogger. And 5% use other Google services such as AdSense, Google Wallet, and Google Voice.
