GoPro Survey: Few Likely to Purchase Devices in the Future

Innovative camera company GoPro has been struggling recently. The company has had to make some layoffs and change its strategy. But some investors are still skeptical about the company’s future. So how many people currently use GoPro devices? And what might the company’s future entail as far as customers are concerned?

In Ask Your Target Market’s latest survey, just 9% of respondents said that they currently own a GoPro. Another 3% have owned one in the past. And just 2% said that they own a similar type of mobile or remote camera device. The remaining 87% said that they’ve never owned a GoPro or similar device.

User Satisfaction

Of those who currently own or have owned a GoPro at some point, 82% said that they have been at least somewhat satisfied with their product. Just 7% have been unsatisfied. And 11% were neutral. Of those who have owned a similar camera device, 50% said they are at least somewhat satisfied with their device, though the sample size was small.

Future Customers

Of those who have never owned a GoPro or similar device, 17% said that they would be at least somewhat likely to purchase one at some point in the future. 59% said that they would be unlikely to ever buy a GoPro. And 23% were neutral or undecided at this point.
