It’s National Hot Dog Day. And over the summer months, people tend to enjoy hot dogs fairly often at events like cookouts, baseball games and outdoor festivals. But with so many different brands, toppings and types of hot dogs, there are plenty of different ways for people to enjoy them. So what are people’s favorite types of hot dogs? And how often do people tend to eat them?
Hot Dog Opinions
In Ask Your Target Market’s latest survey, 56% of respondents said they have a generally positive opinion of hot dogs. Just 19% don’t like them. And 24% are neutral about them. Just 4% of respondents said they eat hot dogs multiple times per week. 10% eat them about once per week. 22% eat them a few times per month. 19% just eat them about once per month. 23% said they eat hot dogs just a few times per year. 13% rarely ever eat them. And 9% never do.
Different Toppings
Thee are so many different ways for people to enjoy their favorite hot dogs. But most people tend to enjoy the classic toppings. 67% of respondents said they like to put mustard on their hot dogs. 54% like ketchup. 44% like to put onions and chili on their hot dogs. 39% like relish. 38% like cheese. 9% named other toppings such as saurkraut and peppers. And just 6% said they like to eat hot dogs with no toppings or condiments.
Favorite Brands
There are also plenty of different hot dog brands that people can choose from.
