To uncover U.S. consumers anticipation of Apple's expected launch of their next-generation iPhone we surveyed 3,000 Americans, of which 22% are already iPhone owners. Among the highlights, the study found that 58% are aware the company is about to announce a new iPhone, and that 6% of consumers who previously owned iPhones no longer own them — 81% of this group having switched to a non-Apple smartphone.
